There's another gas Enfield in the works, which I mentioned on another thread some time ago. The manufacturer in question will commence work on it after they release their CO2 WA2000 in November/December and their SVD/Dragunov in the new year.

Maybe its not AGM that were going to be making the PPSH. If Steves in HK he will have access to products my Chinese suppliers haven't. None of them have heard any plans by any of the factories to produce a PPSH, however somone on another forum took a guess at maybe WE were making it. They already produce WWII guns and Chinese suppliers can't stock WE hence they haven't heard about it's up and coming release. If this was the case it would at least mean the PPSH could still find its way onto our shelves despite the problems AGM are facing.

The rumour regarding tha Garand and Enfield was it was Kart that were going to produce them. Given they produce the M14 it shouldn't have been such a big leap. Than again as the PPSH has proven, you can't believe everything you hear.

I think half of the problem is how the Chinese are set up. We fondly imagine brightly lit, modern factories on vast new industrial estates with enthusiastic and skilled Chinese workers with heads bent at their workstations - just like the state and western funded electronics industries are over there. However, my clients who deal with the Chinese say the reality is far different, especially with small scale and niche products. With this its very much cottage and back street industry, much like (for example) Victorian Sheffield. A maze of specialist and skilled craftsmen all doing their own thing - foundries, finishers, platers, polishers, fettlers and so on.

Now, I have no idea how AGM are set up but I'll hazard a guess and say its that sort of thing - batch built kit with no assembly lines as we would recognise them, not hundreds of workers on the payroll. That and the myriad of middle men and a convoluted chain of supply (and a tricky political situation) seems to make it very frustrating to get information (they aren't very good at marketing and PR) or indeed the exact product you want, when you want it!

:giggle: Only kidding! If you don't have a defence but are OVER 18, then 2 tone is your only practical way.-- attachment is not available --

whats so 'NOOO' about it??

its all well and good for you guys who can actually buy ones that look the real deal, but there are players out there who want to get into WW2 airsofting but cant, so surely the avaliability of a 2-toned WW2 weapon cant be THAT bad can it . . . . .

Nowt wrong with it at all IF you don't have a valid defence in the eyes of the VCRA.

Several retailers are happy to 2 tone RIFs (although some at extra cost).

Yes, the law is a bit daft, isn't it? Unfortunately, it's the situation we're all stuck with.

Unfortunatley the law is the law, but if you check the threads for most of the games advertised on this forum, then you will usually find someone who is willing to lend you a weapon/gear etc. You don't necessarily have to use a bright green mp40.

yes but what i was thinking about are players who are not near these games/cant get to these games/dont even know about these games who dont always have access to borrowing kit or weapons, who WANT to get into it, but cant for reasons beyond their control

ANYWAY, whats the more anticipated weapon out of the proposed selection??

:? The PPSh41 was developed in mid 1941 and didn't come into production until November 1941 (hence the name). "A few hundred weapons were produced in November 1941 and another 155,000 were produced over the next five months. By spring 1942, the PPSh factories were producing roughly 3,000 units a day". A 1940 dated one is either impossible, or a postwar one re-stamped by someone to look like it's a wartime issue :)

Equally, some ww2 games won't allow 2-tones, anyway, so it's a bit of a moot point.

Just saw this over on the the US WW2 airsoft forums  :

"It has been confirmed to me by a major airsoft supplier (their owner) that it is "Confirmed!" (his words and repeated many times) that AGM has been shut down indefinatly and yes the owner has been sent to prison for 10 years. The story goes, one of the staff decided to use the AGM factory for making real guns. That is a major No, no in China and in China it is the boss who also does time whether he was involved or not. "

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

I'm not doubting the story, but China is a very odd place. The state controlled press loves to publish stories like this. It shows how tough they are on crime.

However they are also dead keen on international trade, so it wouldn't surprise me if AGM are back in business a lot sooner than you'd expect, with the "pardoned" owner a few grand lighter in the wallet.

 I see a bit of panic buying coming on if this is all as true as it seems. It's a real shame, particularly for AGM, because they were innovators as well as copiers, which is why I think it's a shame about the PPSH41 and, to a lesser degree, the MG42.
